<p>With the laser analog light barriers of A-LAS Series parallel laser light with homogeneous light distribution in round or rectangular cross-section is used for measuring, positioning, and detection of objects starting from a size of 0.01 mm.</p>
<p>The A-LAS light barriers work according to the following measuring principle: The laser light beam that is emitted by a high-precision optical unit (aspherical surface made of glass) allows the detection of smallest objects (e.g. threads) even in case of a large transmitter/receiver distance (distances up to 100 m, depending on model and aperture). The use of high-precision apertures in the transmitters ensures optimum adaptation to the respective application. The aperture guarantees a homogeneous light distribution on the beam and a sharp beam limitation. Apart from a large variety of standard apertures special apertures can also be realised.</p>

<div class="dps-product-detail">The laser sensors of the C-LAS series are characterised by their compact yet sturdy design. In addition to a one-way system (C-LAS-14) with a transmitter/receiver distance of 100 mm to 100 m the product range also includes various reflection types. The C-LAS-LR-RP2 version, for example, allows a reflector distance of up to 20 m. In addition to the C-LAS-LT-65 sensor type with background suppression and bright/dark compensation, there also is an analog version C-LAS-LT-65-ANA with a measuring range of 40 mm to 100 mm – and with this model bright/dark compensation also prevents a distance offset when there is a change from bright objects to dark objects (or dark to bright).</p>
<p>C-LAS sensors are ideally suited for positioning tasks.</p></div>

The laser light beam that is emitted by a high-precision optical unit allows the very precise detection of smallest objects (e.g. threads) even in case of a large transmitter/receiver distance.The low divergence of the light beam almost completely reduces the measuring error that is caused by moving the measuring object from the transmitter in the direction of the receiver.</p>
<p>Homogeneous light distribution:<br />

<p>The frame light barriers of FLB Series are used for the measurement of smallest unguided parts.</p>
<p>The frame light barriers of FLB Series are extremely insensitive to outside light due to optical filtering and partly modulated operation.Still they guarantee safe measurement of parts with sizes starting from only.</p>
<p>0.2 mm. An impact protection facility (aluminum baffle plates and rubber-metal vibration dampers) protects the optical unit of the frame light barrier against impacting parts.</p>
<p>With its compact design and with the remote control unit (in case ofFLB-FR3) this type of frame light barrier is excellently suited for eject monitoring in a punching die, for example.</p>
<p>High sensitivity due to threshold correction:<br />
By continuously monitoring the maximum value at the receiver a dynamic switching threshold correction compensates the effect of dirt accumulation. Increasing dirt accumulation therefore does not lead to change of sensitivity.</p>
<p>Functional principle:<br />
The optoelectronic components of the transmitter and receiver units are arranged opposite to each other in the frame (in the sides in case of fork or split design). Both the transmitter and the receiver unit consist of a row of IR transmitter diodes or phototransistors, which form a homogeneous light curtain between the transmitter and receiver unit.If a measuring object now passes through this light curtain, part of the light band is covered, and less IR light thus impinges on the receiver unit. The signal generated by the phototransistors is then attenuatedand differentiated proportional to the impinging quantity of light, and the differentiated signal is sent to a comparator pulse lengthening unit.</p>
<p>Parameterisable under Windows® (with FLB-CON8): The products FLB-F, FLB-H, and FLB-V of the FLB Series can be connected to the electronic control unit FLB-CON8. The electronic control unit guarantees a stable voltage supply for the respective transmitter/receiver of the FLB Series.</p>
<p>The electronic control unit also amplifies and processes the analog signal of the receiver in a suitable manner. A micro-controller performs 12-bit analog/digital conversion of the analog signal, allowing recording and evaluation of the signal characteristics at the sensor. Furthermore the electronic control unit offers various options for intelligent transmitting power control (dirt accumulation compensation) at the sensor.</p>
<p>Parameters and measured values can be exchanged between the PC and the electronic control unit through either the RS232 interface or Ethernet interface. All the parameters can be stored in the non-volatile EEPROM of the electronic control unit through the interface.</p>
<p>The Windows® PC software FLB-TLB-CON8-Scope facilitates parameterisation, diagnostics, and adjustment of the sensor system (oscilloscope function). The software furthermore features the function of a data recorder that automatically records data and saves them on the PC&#8217;s hard disk. Firmware updates can be easily performed through the RS232 interface even when the sensor system is installed.</p>
